Nikki Mitchell Foundation
"The view is good, and I can see the other side. It's not that far away."
Nikki conceived the Foundation in the final stages of her battle with pancreatic cancer. She left a notebook with her first board of directors noted, a list of collaborators, and the first research she wanted to support. After 31 months battling cancer, Nikki left her wishes to 9 friends to begin carrying out. NMF started the month after she died on July 9th, 2013 and has been consistently active and growing since. In 2013, NMF held a small intimate concert in Nikki’s Normandy River Cafe.
Those first funds were donated to the Johns Hopkins Pancreatic Cyst Research Program.
Our 2014 and 2015 Awareness Campaigns were funded with proceeds from an Austin, TX concert in 2014, three Nashville, TN concerts, as well as two golf tournaments in Montgomery, Alabama.

In 2016, NMF was able to expand the “Bridge of Wings” direct patient services program, partly with funds from two Nashville concerts and the annual golf tournament. NMF also created an awareness video in conjunction with Jamey Johnson.

2017 focused on growing the golf tournament, with NMF almost quadrupling the funds raised from the previous year.

At the beginning of 2018, NMF has reached and helped 76 cancer patients in 12 states through the ever-expanding Bridge of Wings program. The foundation has several events in the works, including collaborations with a cancer-related non-profit, a cancer hospital, and of course, the annual golf tournament.
